Dear Follower,

Though my Tumblr has been true to its tumbl roots, I’m not really feeling excited by reposts, links, etc. I’m sure many a blog has a similar declaration of “things will be changing”, only to end with no change, no posts, or even no more blog. But, my dearest reader, “Things will be changing”, he said believing-himselfily. We run into the great debate; less of what a blog is, should be, or must be, but what a blog can be. Well, it can be whatever you want it to be. Right? I think this is more my point. That it really can be whatever you want is my main motivation for change. Just the process of imagining the things you can do is so much more satisfying than just reposting endlessly reposted content. Some of my favorite Tumblrs are entirely posting or reposting content from elsewhere, but I feel they have chosen that for the whatever thing they really want to do, and do it better than anyone else. And equally, there are Tumblrs that examine one minute topic or piece of life that are so unique and captivating that I can’t help but fall in love with the things they are conveying. To that I say thank you, and good work. So, for now I’m thinking about what my whatever is. It need not be grand, or even have more than one follower, but I want it to be the whatever that I choose, and to be the best whatever I can make it be. This means some thinking will be going on. Some Content Strategy. And, above all, some serious fun. Fun is still a thing, right? I’m looking forward to examining what things I love and am really interested in talking about, sharing, discussing, and all those other adjectives and wordy stuff that we all use to describe things. Thanks to everyone who follows me, pays attention, has enjoyed anything I have done, or even just silently passed through. Ultimately, the whole idea is about communicating. So as much as it is about me talking, it’s about you listening, and maybe even responding. And, even more so about you enjoying the experience and taking something away from it, or giving something back. Kind of like actually spending time with someone you like. Talk to you soon.
